Iāve been ordering salmon from Whole Foods online since July and while I usually get the Atlantic, I purchased the docket when it was on sale, and am happy I did because it was delicious. It does come down to the fish available and the shopper choosing it, but overall I was very satisfied with the fish I received

Delicious and fresh but did have a line of tiny bones throughout

I have ordered this fish from Whole Foods many times. It has good flavor but always has a ton of bones in it. The fresh fish I get from my local grocer is always deboned much better than Whole Foods. Also, when I order from Whole Foods for grocery pick up, I cannot order a 1/2 pound. No option to select less than a pound of fish. So, they donāt get my business, because I usually use grocery pick up.

…and wild-caught, too! With the possible exception of Sockeye salmon caviar, there’s not much better than the salmon itself. This is possibly the best salmon I’ve ever eaten. Delicious and nutritious. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I’ll buy it again.

Fresh fish, tastes great, but lots of bones.

I typically do two recipes for my salmon; a honey garlic pan seared glaze or spicy poke bowls over rice with seaweed salad. This salmon has been the BEST for both of those. It was more tender than other salmons I’ve used and made the dish that much better. I could taste and feel the difference. I highly recommend it.

I love salmon and this didnāt disappoint. it was just thick enough and the quality of the salmon was bright red! Seasoned to perfection and placed in the oven. Although it was previously frozen it still tasted pretty fresh.

Wonderful Salmon filling and tasty with just the right perfect cuts of meat!

This is a fresh, flaky, salmon with a clean flavor.
Preparation matters.
This salmon can take a heavier set of flavors than the pink version.
I like to make this one cajun or with mango or other more substantial flavors won’t overpower this fish.
Even better, roasting this fish will leave you with crunchy skin as a snack.
