Large sized tube, not appropriate for travel. Eight tubes shipped in a plastic bag. Arrived all beat up, looking like they were found dumpster diving.

Close-up is a good toothpaste with a great taste. The residual cinnamon flavor helps out as an addition mouthwash (use a cinnamon mouthwash to begin with).

This brand of toothpaste is tough to find nowadays in most stores. Crest and Colgate are the common brands, but I never liked those because the flavors are kind of nasty tasting. I also don’t want abrasives in my toothpaste. Silica is there as a whitening ingredient in many toothpastes, but it wears away the enamel. My teeth aren’t perfectly straight or snow white, but my dentist says they’re still in great shape. Maybe it’s genes or perhaps the calcium in all the milk I still drink. I don’t brush or visit the dentist as often as I should–shame on me! But having Close-Up on hand does help motivate me to brush more often. I love the great cinnamon taste!
This is the original Close-Up, invented in 1967 as the very first gel toothpaste. It’s still has the same great cinnamon flavor, and I love the smooth consistency of the gel. Come think about it, this isn’t toothpaste; it’s toothgel!
I bought a lot recently because of the great price, and it seems to never goes bad. I recently found an old tube of Close-Up in storage which must have been at least ten years old, but still as good as new. As long as Unilever hasn’t changed the formula I should have lots of toothpaste for many years to come.
I despise Unilever for shrinking the sizes of all their products, but I love Close-Up. Best Foods mayo is no longer sold in quarts, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter isn’t a full pound, and Breyer’s ice cream isn’t a half gallon. But Close-Up is back to being sold in standard 8oz tubes. That must be because it’s now made by Church and Dwight instead of evil Unilever. Woohoo!

Little over $2 a tube and these are larger value size tubes. Package fine, arrived undamaged.

Having a Cinnamon toothpaste sets you apart from other people quite a bit. But if you are a Cinnamon head this is the stuff for you. There are two different kinds of this brand available which mainly differ by the look and not rely by the taste. However there are plenty of different tube sizes available.
The strong Cinnamon flavour is really a big contrast compared to the mostly mint based toothpaste you can usually get.
If you want to become a bit creative with your tooth paste, you also try to get an Apple flavoured toothpaste (unfortunately Close Up doesn’t offer one). Go and mix a bit of both and you have a tasty CinnamonApple toothpaste. If you think your coworkers looked strange at you for just Cinnamon flavour, wait till you tell them you are mixing different flavours to get a really custom one.
Also an interesting gift for people living in Europe as neither this brand, nor this flavour is easily available in Europe. And most people just don’t know that this stuff exists at all.
